A year into development,
this project stalled.
Supplier problems and a lack of internal soft-side design expertise had brought progress to a halt.
I took over the project and finished it, building on solid design work from the Dometic team.
A shift in scope and a new supplier meant sending the design back for another pass. While trying to keep the design intent.

Hands on process and a lot of hacking to fail fast
Loaded, the cooler is so heavy that the original back padding wasn't going to hold up.
I reworked the thickness and shape to move pressure off the spine while keeping airflow open.
Many iterations later,
the PSC range finally shipped!
But it didn't stop there yet…
The PM team saw a need to explore potential accessories to be used on the daisy chains.
I identified some areas that
made sense for the application
and use scenarios.
- Dry storage / Side pockets
- Drinkware holders
- Bottle openers
- Utility Straps
- Hip belt
